A juvenile skier has died after a collision with a tree on Peak 10 of Breckenridge Ski Resort. The accident happened Thursday morning at approximately 11:04 AM. After the accident occurred, the girl was transported to Breckenridge Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Additional information about the deceased has not been made available pending notification of next of kin.

Peak 10 of Breckenridge Ski Resort is known for its steeper terrain. All of the runs have black diamond and double black diamond ratings. Terrain is a mix of groomed terrain and trees.

This is the second death in Summit County in eight days. The first occurring on Copper Mountain. This is the 21st skier/snowboarder death of the season.
