According to a Twitter post by the Colorado Department of Transportation, a flaming vehicle inside of a tunnel has shut down eastbound I-70 between mile markers 205 and 215. This is in the vicinity of the Eisenhower Tunnel.

UPDATE: The tunnel is now open.

Details on injuries or reopening of the tunnel were not mentioned in the original post. Expect major delays.

This accident comes amid winter weather delays that have travel times more than doubled on the Front Range and in parts of the mountains.
