Both directions of I-70 are closed through Glenwood Canyon due to a roadside brush fire, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The fire was first reported around 2 PM, with a 3:34 PM update on the CDOT website indicating that the closure remains in place 4 miles east of Glenwood Springs at mile marker 122. This is near Hanging Lake, which is exit 125.

It is unclear when the closure will be lifted. A tweet sent out by CDOT just after 3 PM stated that there was no estimated time of reopening.

The closure is causing travel delays, with the line of stopped westbound vehicles stretching for more than a mile.

This is a developing story.
