Hotel owners Greg and Meredith Tally came together to create a fun and adventurous experience for dinosaur lovers during a $5 million renovation process. The entire hotel is decked out in dinosaurs artifacts including fossils, bones, skeletons, and a large collection of dinosaur-inspired murals. In the lobby, you’ll also find Triceratops horns, Velociraptor feet, and Mongolian egg clutch.
Guests are encouraged to snap a selfie with the enormous teal Stegosaurus statue nicknamed Stanley outside of the hotel. There’s also an enclosed sandpit for kids to play and dig up “dinosaur” fossils and bones.
Not only does the hotel restaurant come complete with a full-size Tylosaur swimming across the ceiling, but you’ll also find the only petrified wood bar known in Colorado today. Entree choices include appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, and burritos. Beer, wine and, mixed drinks are also available.
