Denver is ranked as the third-best city in the nation for dog lovers, according to a popular dog-walking and sitting company and a real estate brokerage company – Redfin and Rover, respectively.

Together, the two companies joined forces to determine the most dog-friendly cities in the nation for 2019. Key ranking factors based on the analysis of 14,000 cities across the country included the highest counts of walks, dog walkers, and total hours, minutes, and distance per each dog walk on Rover.

While New York City, Brooklyn, and San Francisco ranked the highest for walkability, cities like Seattle, Chicago, and Denver took home the title for access to beautiful parks and outdoor recreation – Seattle ranked 1st overall and Chicago ranked 2nd.

The study also showed the most popular dog breeds. In Denver, it’s the labrador retriever.
