According to a report by FOX31 Denver, an Uber driver living in Lakewood received an odd tip from a passenger – a lotto ticket. It was a “$5 Super Special Ultimate Bingo” scratch off. When that ticket was scratched off and redeemed, the man received a $30 prize…but it didn’t stop there.

Most likely feeling lucky from his first win, he spent that prize on another ticket, and then another, and another, and he just kept winning.

“I kept winning these smaller amounts and just kept rolling it over and over into more tickets” – the man said to the Lotto.

Eventually, he hit it big, winning a lump sum of $140,000. What’s he going to do with all that money? Fix up his car and keep driving for Uber.

I’ve never won the Lotto, nor have a given a physical tip to an Uber driver – I just use the in-app tipping feature, so I find this story all-around strange. Maybe next time I’m buying my pre-work coffee at convenient store across the street from our offices, I’ll have to try my luck on the “$5 Super Special Ultimate Bingo.”
