In the most recent update from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), it has been reported that 1,086 cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Colorado. This is an additional 174 cases. Yesterday, 192 cases were added compared to the day before, when 129 cases added.

Throughout the state, 147 individuals are hospitalized (twice compared to yesterday) and 19* COVID-19-related deaths have occurred, with eight* added to that list in the latest report. There have been 8,064 people tested, with the virus found in 36 of Colorado’s 64 counties. The report also made a point to mention that 9 outbreaks had occurred in residential and non-hospital care facilities. Note that CDPHE updates are reported a day late.

Editor’s Note: A previous report released by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment stated that 20 deaths had been confirmed in Colorado. This has since been corrected to 19.

Gunnison, Eagle, and Pitkin counties have the highest rate of infection, with 302.8, 218.73, and 117.46 cases per 100,000 residents, respectively. Denver has an infection rate of 29.81 per 100,000 residents and El Paso County has an infection rate of 17.08 per 100,000 residents.

  • 0-9: 1.38% (15)
  • 10-19: 2.39% (26)
  • 20-29: 13.9% (151; 2 hospitalized)
  • 30-39: 17.22% (187; 13 hospitalized)
  • 40-49: 18.78% (203; 19 hospitalized, 1 death)
  • 50-59: 16.57% (178; 34 hospitalized, 2 deaths)
  • 60-69: 13.63% (145; 26 hospitalized, 3 deaths)
  • 70-79: 10.41% (106; 26 hospitalized, 7 deaths)
  • 80+: 5.34% (51; 15 hospitalized, 7 deaths)
  • Unknown: .37%

When it comes to sex, male residents of Colorado have accounted for 50.55% of cases and female residents have accounted for 48.34% of cases, with 1.10% of cases unknown.
