Animal lovers, welcome to paradise! Experience the beautiful and serene setting at Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary where rescued farm animals roam and graze freely on a sprawling 140-acre property.

The sanctuary is home to a variety of rescued farm animals including cows, llamas, lambs, farm pigs, pot-bellied pigs, goats, sheep, turkey, roosters, hens, duck, geese, and swan. Most of these adorable farm animals have come from the meat, dairy, and egg industry.

Visitors can go on a sanctuary tour or enjoy some one-on-one time by volunteering. As you adventure through the sanctuary, you’ll get the chance to interact directly with the animals while learning all about their rescue stories – offering a truly memorable and charming close encounter for any animal lover.

The sanctuary’s two primary missions involve rescuing and proving life-long care for abused farm animals – and educating people on the benefits of vegan living, as a way to end suffering and the exploitation of animals.

As a non-profit organization, the sanctuary relies heavily on donations and the help from local volunteers in support of rescue, care, and shelter efforts. You can also choose to sponsor an animal at the sanctuary. Quarterly sponsorships help provide shelter, food, supplies, and cover veterinary costs for the rescued animals.

Advance reservations are required for all visitors and volunteers. To schedule a sanctuary tour or volunteer, email tours@peacefulprarie.org.
