Rock formations get strange names all the time. Maybe someone once thought the rock looked like their uncle so they named it “Billy Bob Rock”, maybe a deer once fell asleep on a ledge so they named it “Sleeping Deer Point”. More times than not, these names get lost to time. The “Kissing Camels” formation at the Garden of the Gods is an easy one though. It got its name because it really does look like two kissing camels. Do a quick scan of the picture below to see if you can spot them.
