According to Vail Daily, a can of ashes was found on Vail Mountain, assumedly dropped by a lift rider. The ashes were found beneath Vail’s Chair 26 on February 8. Staffers assume that the lost can was brought to the mountain by a visitor hoping to spread the ashes of a loved one in a beautiful place.
If you know anything about who might have dropped the ashes, Vail is hoping to return them to the owner. While the ashes were found more than a week ago, they haven’t been claimed via the resort’s “lost and found” service yet. If you know anything about who the can might belong to, please help share this news to get the word out. If the can was yours, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to claim them.
