This Mountain Lion Sounds More Like A Baby Bird!

As one of Colorado’s more mysterious mammals, the mountain lion is rarely seen and even more rarely caught on camera. This video captured in Northern Colorado gives viewers a very interesting look into one very odd noise a mountain lion can make.

Mountain Lion Fun Facts:

  • Mountain lions can make running jumps that cover up to 40 feet, as well as vertical leaps of up to 15 feet.
  • Including the tail, mountain lions can be anywhere from 5 to 8 feet long.
  • The individual home range of each mountain lion can be up to 100 square miles.
  • Mountain lions can run at speeds in excess of 40 miles per hour.
  • Full-grown mountain lions require roughly 8 to 10 pounds of meat to survive.
