If you’ve never skied Crested Butte, Monday after the Super Bowl is the day to play hooky and head west. In honor of the battle for the Lombardi, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is offering the lift ticket deal of the season: The price of a full day ticket on Monday February 6, 2017 will be the sum of the final scores of the Patriots and Falcons. In other words, you only have to pay $1 for every point scored on Sunday night.
The San Francisco 49ers hold the record for most points scored in a Super Bowl game, beating Denver 55-10 in 1990, and most combined points in a Super Bowl game with the San Diego Chargers in 1995 (49-26 for 75 total points). Luckily, San Francisco is not making an appearance in this year’s game so your ticket price should stay well below the $65 cap (guests will pay no more than $65 for a full day ticket irrespective of the final scores of the game). If the scores stay as low as 3-0, then you will only pay $3 for a full day of skiing at one of the most beautiful ski mountains in the Centennial State.
You’ll now have something to cheer for even if your team isn’t playing in Super Bowl LI. Fingers crossed for a low scoring game on Sunday night and a powder day at Crested Butte!
