The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is seeking an unidentified male skier that collided with another skier on Saturday. After the collision, the victim that reported the incident to the police skied into a tree.

The unknown skier is described as a juvenile, who left the scene of the collision with a man assumed to be their father quickly after the incident. There was no exchange of information or assistance in summoning aid, two requirements following a collision according to Colorado’s “Skier Safety Act.”

The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 PM on Saturday on Peak 6’s “Reverie” ski run.

If you’re on the slopes, it’s important to know the skier responsibility code, which includes staying in control and yielding at proper times, among other things.
