Find this secluded restaurant at the base of a 181-foot waterfall in Colorado

Tucked deep in Colorado Springs’ South Cheyenne Cañon is a spot that few are lucky enough to discover – Seven Falls.

Cascading down a steep 181 feet, what makes a trip to Seven Falls particularly unique is the fine dining experience found on the canyon floor below.

Dubbed Restaurant 1858, a name that pays homage to Colorado’s gold rush era, patrons of this establishment will find fine dining, spectacular box canyon views, and a unique spot to down a libation of their choice.

While this spot can be a little pricy, the inspired menu and one-of-a-kind setting make it worth it. Dishes like Colorado trout, braised beef short ribs, and wild boar chili are sure to please.

Don’t think that this experience ends at the restaurant. Explore the surrounding area by climbing 224 steps to the top of the falls or take an elevator to the “Eagle’s Nest” for a bird’s-eye view of this epic scene. Stop by after dark to see the falls illuminated with light.

Visit the restaurant by purchasing a ticket to Seven Falls. After a shuttle ride from the Broadmoor, you’ll have the option to reach the base of the falls and restaurant via brief walk a scenic route or another quick shuttle.
