1. Visit the National Parks in Moab, Utah

Venture to one of the many breathtaking national parks in Moab, Utah. A short two-hour drive will take you to the red rock arches of Arches National Park, making for a one of the best day trips from Grand Junction.
2. Stargaze in Montrose, Colorado
Spend a night in Black Canyon National Park. A short one-hour drive from Montrose will take you to the open skies of the park, perfect for brushing up on your stargazing.
3. Shop in the streets of Telluride, Colorado
In addition to the incredible scenery Telluride has to offer, this popular mountain town is filled with ski town shops to enjoy. A two and a half hour drive south from Grand Junction will take you to this postcard-worthy gem in the mountains.
4. Relax in the hot springs of Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Treat yourself to a day at the spa—the natural spa, that is. A car trip takes only an hour and twenty minutes, or you can take the bus, which is just under two hours as well.

5. Go Turtle Tubing in Gypsum, Colorado
