The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer, and Summit County is celebrating spring skiing in style. Don’t miss your chance for cold beers, even colder pond skims, and some end-of-ski-season festivities on snow.

1. Frisco BrewSki

The third annual Frisco BrewSki will be March 10, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Frisco Adventure Park. Tour through the woods, stop for beverages, and enjoy a non-competitive, non-timed Nordic ski event open to all ski abilities and ages. Prizes will be awarded to the participants with the best costume, most difficult costume to ski in, and more. Don’t miss the after party at the Frisco Adventure Park Day Lodge after the “race.”

2. Save Our Snow

The 10th Annual Save Our Snow and Demo Day will be at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area on March 24 from 9 a.m.—4 p.m. in the Mountain Goat Plaza. Embrace the “power to save the powder,” and get to know the Green Team and A-Basin’s sustainability initiatives. A $10 donation will get you demos of the latest and greatest gear for your spring skiing day on the hill, and all proceeds will benefit the High Country Conservation Center. There will also be a tent village with Colorado green brands and businesses, a prize drawing, and silent auction.
