1. Strawberry Days Festival

2. Telluride Bluegrass Festival

With four straight days of bluegrass and headliners like Norah Jones, Jason Mraz, Brandi Carlile, Dierks Bentley, and Elephant Revival, it’s not difficult to understand why close to 12,000 people are expected to attend this year’s 44th Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival. 3. Denver Greek Festival

Put on your dancing shoes and try your hand at traditional Greek dance moves at the largest cultural event in Denver, the Denver Greek Festival. Dancing not your thing? 4. 23rd Annual Starlight Spectacular

If you’re looking for some active fun with dad this weekend, consider adding the 23rd Annual Starlight Spectacular to your list. This night time bike ride takes place on either a 14-, 17-, or 21- mile course looping through Garden of the Gods, Old Colorado City, and Colorado Springs. Before the ride, participants can enjoy music, food, drinks, and contests before heading to the starting line at 10:30 pm. This year’s theme is superheroes, so make sure to dress up and decorate your bike with lights galore. Prizes are awarded to the best illuminated bike and to the biggest team. Stick around for hot breakfast served after the race. Proceeds from this colorful evening go to benefit the Trails and Open Space Coalition.

5. Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack

What dad doesn’t love car racing? Head to the Colorado Springs Airport this Saturday and Sunday for some heart pumping, adrenaline filled action.Watch half-mile, side-by-side roll race and trap speed competitions where over 200 of the nation’s fastest street cars will battle for the title of Mile High Victor.
