It was a powder day in Colorado ski country with some resorts getting more than 20 inches of snow in just 24 hours.

The lift lines at Vail Resort reportedly stretched long on Friday while skiers and riders waited to go up the mountain. While the 17 inches of fresh powder that fell in Vail may be the explanation for the “lift line apocalypse,” slopegoers seemed frazzled over the long lines and wait times.

Another added, “If I paid for a flight and lodging, took time off work, paid Vail ticket prices, and got to see over a foot of fresh snow – you better believe I’m standing in that line as long as it takes.”

According to Vail Mountain, 19 inches of fresh powder fell over the slopes in the last 48 hours, with 30 more snow expected over the next 5 days.
