El Paso County backs more disc golf

The El Paso County Park Advisory Board Wednesday endorsed an effort by disc-golf enthusiasts to have more courses here.

The city of Colorado Springs previously voiced support for the concept (read our story here) and the county board voted unanimously to support the idea.

The sport involves trying to reach the target, a chain basket, in as few throws as possible on an 18-hole course. There are two public courses in El Paso County. Supporters want to build five more, though it has not been determined who will pay the $60,000  to construct them.
