Skiers hit backcountry despite avalanche danger

From 9News:
SUMMIT COUNTY - Even a busy day along Loveland Pass for snowboarder Dave Perry is better than being at a ski area.
"Just up here riding some backcountry with some friends," Perry said.
Like many this holiday weekend, he's looking to escape crowds by taking that jump into the backcountry.
"It's just like getting away from everybody, getting out into the trees. You get the best powder out here in the backcountry," Perry said.
The only problem is that avalanche experts say that in the backcountry, they are seeing the worst avalanche danger in 30 years.
"We feel it's about the most unstable we have seen in the past 30 years," John Snook, with the Colorado Avalanche Information Center, said.
