Model who lost eye, hand takes Colorado ski vacation
Model Lauren Scruggs, just two weeks after being fitted for a prosthetic eye following an accident in which she walked into a plane's propeller, hit the slopes at Steamboat Springs over the weekend.
The Texas native and fashion blogger, 23, tweeted photos of herself with family and friends on her first vacation since the December accident, according to numerous news outlets.
"Such a fun weekend with family and friends :)" Scruggs Tweeted on Saturday.
Scruggs was severely injured when she walked into a small plane's spinning propeller on Dec. 3 following a flight to view Christmas lights over McKinney, Texas.
