Ryan Hafer wins Winter Series race 3

Ryan Hafer of Colorado Springs signed up for the 10-mile Winter Series race organized by the Pikes Peak Road Runners on Saturday morning. The race was shortened to 5 miles due to the cold and ice. He won in 28:23.

About 450 runners showed up to run in the cold, many registering Saturday morning even though the temperature going into the 10 a.m. start was a mere 12 degrees.
