Keystone's Kidtopia Snow Fort. The resort plans to open more fun areas for kids and families. Jack Affleck, Vail Resorts
Keystone Resort is looking to improve its property, but first must get the OK from White River National Forest officials.
The public is invited to weigh in on the proposals.
Keystone wants to replace the Summit House on Dercum Mountain, expand the Adventure Point tubing area to include more — and longer — lanes and construct a lodge in place of its yurt.
The resort also wants to add carpet lifts and teaching terrain at the Dercum summit, “exploration” areas and more fun structures like snow forts, tree houses, and a mock fire lookout tower, mountain bike trails and expanded snowmaking infrastructure.
