Members of the Park Advisory Board and donors: Front, L-R: Anna Sparks, Jane Fredman, Jeff Cramer, Robert Hilty (representing Modern Woodmen, Chapter 7226), William English (representing El Paso Corporation)  & Robert Hotestler; Back, L-R: Richard Mock, James Mariner & Michael Straub.

The El Paso County Parks Advisory Board on Wednesday gave special recognition to five donors who signed up for the county’s Partners in the Park program.  The program encourages supporters to contribute $5,000 per year for three years to support maintenance of county parks.

Sponsors are recognized on signs at park entrances, receive free use of a pavilion each year for a corporate outing, are noted on the county's website, and receive a plaque presented by the Parks Advisory Board.

Receiving plaques this week were:
Robert and Ellen Hostetler, supporters of Fox Run Regional Park; Modern Woodmen, Chapter 7226, supporters of Fountain Creek Regional Park; El Paso Corporation, supporter of Bear Creek Regional Park; Kohl’s Associates in Action, supporter of Fountain Creek Nature Center; and Heuberger Motors, Subaru, supporter of Bear Creek Dog Park.

All donations are used exclusively for El Paso County Parks to help sustain park amenities, assuring ongoing support for specific parks and preservation of open space.
