Monarch pass holders get bonus bike park entry

There are perks to buying any ski pass in Colorado, from your ski buddies getting one-day ticket deals to discounts on gear and food to reciprocal pass agreements with resorts in other states and countries.

Monarch Mountain pass holders just got another deal added to this year's pass: a full-day mountain bike park lift ticket at Angel Fire in New Mexico, valid June 8 to Oct. 14.

Angel Fire Bike Park has more than 30 miles of trails, downhill and cross-country bike rentals, clinics, skills parks and special events.

If you don't ride, they're encouraging (well, of course they are!) pass holders to drop in and take the lift for a hike on the mountain, to play the summit disc golf course, to grab a high-altitude lunch or try out the new zipline tour scheduled to open on July 1.

You get a 20% discount on lodging at the slopeside Lodge at Angel Fire.
