Beaver Creek will open portions of Royal Elk Glade and Upper Stone Creek Chutes on Saturday, after January snowfall that was 5% above the monthly 11-year average.

Ski patrol has been prepping the double-black diamonds.

The expansion means 94% of Beaver Creek’s terrain, or 1,712 acres, will be open. All 25 lifts are operating.
