Color makes splash on slopes and at SIA Snow Show |

Bright colors, bold patterns and easy silhouettes are dominating the slopes this season in Colorado and other places where people play on snow in winter.
And signs point to at least some of those ideas continuing next winter, judging from what manufacturers are presenting at the annual SIA Snow Show in Denver underway at the Colorado Convention Center.
At Thursday night's fashion show, 74 outfits were presented — 16 on child models — and the variety of looks indicated that there's something for everyone from the hard-core rider to the give-me-pink snow bunny.
An estimated 20,000 members of the snow sports industry — representing apparel, accessories and equipment — are buying and selling at the show, which is underway through Sunday. Goods ordered now will beginning trickling into stores starting late this summer.
