ASPEN -- Back-to-back Olympic halfpipe gold medalist Shaun White injured his left ankle Thursday in a practice run at the Winter X Games in Aspen.
White hobbled away from the pipe after medical staffers tended to him, and his status isn’t known for Saturday’s slopestyle competition or Sunday’s superpipe final. He’s an 11-time Winter X champion.
