Still time to comment on 'Over the River' project |

If you still want to share your thoughts about the proposed "Over the River" art installation by the artist Christo, local officials say they're listening.
Public hearings for a temporary use permit for the work will be held Feb. 1 and 2 in Fremont County: 9 a.m. Feb. 1 at the Fremont County Administration Building, 615 Macon Ave., Cañon City, and 5 p.m. Feb. 2 at the Cotopaxi School.
A rally to support the OTR project will be held 8-8:45 a.m. Feb. 1 at the Fremont Center for the Arts, 505 Macon Ave., Cañon City. Supporters of the project will be distributing shirts, stickers and information at the FCA all day.
Shirts, stickers and information about the project also will be available through Monday at Café Dawn in Salida (2-4 p.m. daily) and outside Cotopaxi School at 4:45 p.m. Feb. 2.
