Our own Nancy Hobbs, runner and race and running team organizer extraordinaire, was honored this month for her contributions to the sport.
She received the 8th Women's Trailblazer Award this week during the Trailblazer Luncheon at the Running USA 2012 conference in Houston.
If you've joined any group run in the area, you've probably met Hobbs, of Colorado Springs. She also is long-time USA Mountain and Trail Running Leader, American Trail Running Association founder and executive director, USATF MUT chair and World Mountain Running Association council, and Running USA Membership Director. Or you may remember her for cheering you on as you ran up the inaugural race up Pikes Peak in summer.
Or you might look at her photo and say, "Hey, I ran with her for about half-mile during that 5K a few weeks ago." Before she pulled ahead of you...
Congratulations, Nancy, on a much-deserved award earned many times over!
