High winds close Ski Cooper, Echo for the day
Wednesday, January 18, 2012 12:49

Snow was the word on Monday when Ski Cooper (above) and other Colorado resorts finally got the pounding we've all been waiting for.

But an unusally powerful storm is moving through part of Colorado's high country today, and gusts of up 100mph gusts have forced Ski Cooper AND Echo Mountain to close Wednesday.

It's a safety thing.

You can use your Ski Cooper season pass to get on the lifts at Monarch Mountain, Sunlight Mountain Resort, Powderhorn Resort and Echo Mountain (on a calmer day).

Check the resort website or their Facebook pages - to see what the storm's doing!
