(From Vail Mountain's Facebook page) Colorado's largest ski resort, Vail Mountain, has been as snow-challenged as the rest of the state, but there's good news out of the storm that dumped 10 inches at the ski area this week. The most popular terrain for powder lovers and expert skiers, the back bowls and Blue Sky Basin, will be opening for the season Thursday and Friday! Here's their announcement, made a little while ago on Facebook and Twitter: Now, after heading to Monarch Tuesday for one story, I need to find a way to talk my editor into letting me go do another ski story on the company dime in one week..... Yay!
