Ride like a pro on the USA Pro Cycling Challenge courst
Tuesday, January 17, 2012 10:40

It ain't cheap, but Carmichael Training Systems in Colorado Springs and the USA Pro Cycling Challenge is offering skilled amateur cyclists a chance to ride every stage of the 2012 Colorado race just hours before the pros.

Retired professional cyclist and CTS founder Chris Carmichael will lead the selection process and ride with the team during the “Ultimate Cycling Experience."

Cyclists will "eat, sleep and live like professional cyclists" during the Aug. 20-26, 2012 race.

“With the altitude and the length of the climbs in Colorado, this promises to be the hardest Race Experience to date," Carmichael said in a news release.  “The USA Pro Cycling Challenge has been instrumental in helping us create a truly unique experience for devoted amateur cyclists. It’s an insider’s view of what it’s like to live and work as a professional cyclist.”

Cost is $10,500 and includes access to the VIP tent in each finish city, accommodations, meals, amenities and post-race massages.

Interested adult athletes should apply at www.trainright.com/usapcc-2012 by Feb. 29.
