(Monarch Pass this morning. There's a ski area somewhere in that cloud.) I guess all those snow dances they've been doing in ski towns are paying off, because Colorado is getting its first big blast of snow in, well, I can't remember the last time I saw 8-16 inches in the forecast. For those keeping score at home, some ski areas picked up a couple inches overnight, with Wolf Creek the winner at 7 inches. Forecasters say two quick-moving storms will bring moisture throughout the day. While the San Juans will be favored, it looks like everyone is finally getting some love. And the better news: The dry spell we've been locked into all winter, a "rut" as one ski-weather forecaster described it to me, shows signs of changing. Tuesday looks dry but there's a chance of snow every day the rest of the week and into the weekend. Bring it!
