Vail's walk-up lift ticket hits $116 |

The Vail and Beaver Creek single-day lift ticket price has gone up to $116 this week, one of the busiest weeks of the ski season.
The price is up from $108 during the same week in 2010, although Vail Resorts says its guests are increasingly buying season passes and advance purchase passes rather than single-day tickets.
Guests who buy tickets a week in advance online can save anywhere from $11 for a one-day ticket to $112 for a seven-day ticket, said Amy Kemp, Vail Resorts spokeswoman.
“As always, we recommend that the earlier you purchase your pass or lift ticket, the better the savings,” she said via email to the Vail Daily.
The amount of guests who buy season passes has increased over the years as more guests — local, Colorado and international — “realize and then take advantage of the incredible value that our season passes offer.”
