Beaver Creek expands terrain for Christmas week |

All 25 of Beaver Creek's lifts and nearly 70 percent of the area's skiable terrain will be open Saturday.
The resort reported 5 inches of snow overnight Wednesday. The resort will expand to 1,242 acres and open 105 trails Saturday. Grouse Mountain will open Saturday including Raven Ridge, Ptarmigan, Screech Owl and Roughed Grouse trails.
The Haymaker Tubing Hill also is open.
The Beaver Creek Loves Kids Winterfest celebration is under way through Dec. 31. Santa and his elves will drop by the village and you can have fun with the Kids Winter Wonder parade, Disco Skate Nights, figure skating performances, an Animals of Winter presentation by the Denver Zoo, a torchlight parade, fireworks and more.
