New trail project aims to connect Castle Rock

Contractors began working in Castle Rock this week on a trail project that will connect the east and west sections of town and provide a crucial link in a regional trail system.

Castle Rock will add the roughly one-and-a-quarter mile long Hangman’s Gulch Trail to its existing 52 miles of trails. It will form the main east-west trail through town, connecting the East Plum Creek Trail and the Woodlands Trail.
