Vail Resorts’ EpicMix program, which allows you to track your skier visits, earn awards and share photos with friends, has taken off like a rocket this season.
There already are about 300,000 EpicMix posts on Facebook and Twitter this season, and program managers say more than half contain photos. That's a no-brianer, I suppose. I mean, if a day on the slopes isn't worth a photo, what is!?
And they make it look so inviting!
Vail says the number of passholders activating their EpicMix account is up 40 percent this season. And you don't even have to take a camera to get a great snapshot; Vail employees will do that for you.
New this season:
** The Mountain Remix collage. This allows guests to combine their on-mountain EpicMix professional photos with their stats (such as days and vertical feet skied) and the digital pins they've earned.
** EpicMix photographers are stationed on the slopes - where the action is. Photos are automatically delivered to your EpicMix account (via remote pass scan).
** All EpicMix photos are available to guests for free to share on Facebook and Twitter. (High-resolution photos for printing cost $19.95).
EpicMix is available to all Vail Resorts guests who purchase a lift ticket or season pass. You can see the photos and info by logging on to epicmixphoto.com and activating your account. You can also download a free app for your phone.
