U.S. Grand Prix under way at Copper

The U.S. Grand Prix that is under way at Copper Mountain may be the best place on the planet to see who'll be competing in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

Friday saw the finals of the freeski halfpipe. Saturday will be the finals of the snowboard halfpipe.

Saturday's Lineup
8am - 4pm:  Registration Open
8:40am - 10:30:  Snowboard Women's Qualifying   
Noon - 1:30pm:  Snowboard Halfpipe Finals (awards immediatly following)
7pm - 8:30pm:  Paul Mitchell Progression Session
9pm - 11pm:  FREE Digital Underground Concert at Jack's

“The recent inclusion of halfpipe skiing and slopestyle snowboarding and skiing to the 2014 Olympics will provide great momentum for another exciting year of the U.S. Grand Prix Tour,” U.S. snowboarding and freeskiing director Jeremy Forster told the Summit Daily News.

This year the Grand Prix also is a World Cup event for freeskiing.
