A season pass for your pooch
Friday, December 09, 2011 12:08

This is a new one for me: dogs with ski area season passes.

Yep. The pups in the photo have season passes to Copper Mountain.

Amos, an 11-year-old black Lab-German shepherd mix, gets a pass every year, owner Laura Lease told the Summit Daily News.

“It makes your dog seem less intimidating,” she said. “It's a great conversation piece, and he gets petted more.”

More than 30 dogs have Copper passes.

Dog pass fees go to the Mountain Education Fund, to buy treats and training tools for avalanche rescue dogs at Copper.

Vail Resorts also offers $10 doggie passes.
