Lindsey Vonn has a new fan who knows a thing or two about great athletes who transcend their sports — Robby Tebow, reports John Meyer in the Denver Post.
Tim Tebow’s brother was part of the “Vonntourage” Wednesday when she won a World Cup super-G on Beaver Creek’s Birds of Prey.
Vonn, who is divorcing Thomas Vonn after four years of marriage, says she is not dating anyone, and when asked specifically about Robby Tebow, insisted they are just friends.
Tebow said they met at the ESPY awards.
“This is my first ski race,” Tebow said. “It was awesome.”
As for Vonn, she said Wednesday's race on the Birds of Prey course - normally is used only in men's racing - was one of her best ever.
As we noted Wednesday, Vonn "Tebowed" in front of the winner's podium — after discussing the idea with Robby Tebow.
“I asked him if Tim would be upset if I did it,” Vonn said. “I said that if I won in Colorado, I would do it, ‘Go Broncos.’ And I did it. Gotta represent.”
