| Bike sharing is coming to Aspen - maybe this summer | |||

If you think there are a lot of bikes in the Roaring Fork Valley now, wait till WE-Cycle comes to Aspen. Officials are trying to bring federal bucks to town that would help kick off the program this summer. Under the program 100 bikes at 8 kiosks would be available for short, point-to-point trips - for a nominal fee. Project organizers say to be successful they need 400 locals to sign up for the program next summer at $75 each, along with 150 commuting workers and 2.5 percent of Aspen Meadows' 200,000 annual visitors.
