Registration has opened for one of Colorado's great rides.

The Iron Horse Bicycle Classic has been around since 1971 and features plenty of cycling options -- whether you like to race or simply want to take part in a fun ride. There are also mountain biking alternatives for the event that's slated for Memorial Day weekend.

The route takes riders from Durango to Silverton with two ascents over passes measuring nearly 11,000 feet in elevation. Read more about the ride
