Standing at the top of the superpipe at Copper Mountain is like having a window into the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, according to Transworld Snowboarding magazine.
Look who's in town to practice, according to the Summit Daily News: Jack Mitrani, Luke Mitrani, Gretchen Bleiler, Torin Yater-Wallace, Hannah Teter, Gus Kenworthy and Mark McMorris, to name a few.
It's safe to say, Copper is the place to be for park and pipe at the moment.
“It's a pretty big list,” Woodward coach Rick Shimpeno said. “You can't just go shoot free throws with Michael Jordan, but you can hike up the pipe next to Danny Davis and Louie Vito.”
Members of the U.S. Freeskiing and Snowboarding Half Pipe teams as well as other top riders and skiers are taking their turns dropping in. They're hoping the practice pays off at the upcoming Sprint U.S. Grand Prix at Copper Mountain Dec. 5-10.
