When you're looking for a logo that says "Colorado, " you can't go wrong by using a stately bighorn sheep.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife - the agency formed by merging the state's parks and wildlife agenices - unveiled its new logo Monday and a bighorn features prominently - "perched over a rock-rimmed river below a classic Colorado skyline of snowcapped peaks." "The Colorado Parks and Wildlife logo retains the strong brand equity of both the ram and circular motif that has represented the Colorado Division of Wildlife and before that, Colorado Game, Fish and Parks. The backdrop reflects the enhanced natural resource management the merger represents. Both the depiction of canyon country and water features are a salute to the diversity of resources brought by Colorado State Parks and speaks to the new agency's expanded conservation and outdoor recreation mission. Snowcapped mountains echo Colorado's famous license plate design." |
