Today marked the opening of the 2011-12 ski season at Snowmass with more than 160 acres of terrain for the taking.
Conditions are exceptionally good considering the resort opened five days earlier than planned, said a front-line department head for the Aspen Skiing Co. who skied the terrain Friday.
