Forecasters are calling for blue skies and a high of 45 degrees Friday, opening day at Vail Resort.

First chair is set for 9 a.m., with access to the mountain from Vail Village and Lionshead, and the season's initial terrain park open via Born Free.

Wait 'til you get there to fuel up:  Proceeds from $1 breakfast burritos go to the Vail Veterans Program.

There'll be free hot cocoa along and Helly Hansen gear giveaways at the Vista Bahn Express Lift (#16) and Born Free Express Lift (#8).

What's in store for Saturday?  SNOW!

Also opening Friday: Eldora Mountain Resort.
