Fed meeting focuses on Colorado River, Glen Canyon, Grand Canyon

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (AP) —The federal Department of the Interior is holding a hearing on the future of the Colorado River.

The hearing Thursday in Lakewood will review the environmental impact of regulated flows on the river.

The federal agency is focusing on meeting the needs for hydroelectricity, water, agriculture and industry to western states while protecting the Grand Canyon and Glen Canyon.
