Los Lobos (above) will perform a FREE concert in downtown Breckenridge as part of the Breck Birthday Bash celebrating the ski resort's 50th birthday.

The birthday party started last week with free coffee mugs (below) and cupcakes and a special new brew on tap. On the actual birthday, Dec. 16, there'll be official and no doubt, unofficial fun, including:

4:45 p.m. Free champagne toast and cupcakes outside the Backstage Theatre, 121 S. Ridge St. (pick up concert passes)

5:15 p.m. Fireworks display

5:30 p.m. Riverwalk Center, 150 W. Adams Ave., doors open

6 p.m. Los Lobos free concert at Riverwalk Center
