The half-dressed climber who was rescued from the First Flatiron on Friday remains in the Boulder County Jail today and could be charged with felony possession of a controlled substance on Wednesday.

Jon Robert Schuttenberg, 25, of St. Charles, Mo., was arrested Friday after Boulder County sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a man who had ingested an unknown substance and could not make his way down the trail.

According to an arrest report, several people told deputies, "There's a crazy guy up there," as they made their way to the base of the First Flatiron.

Even though it was cold and there was ice and snow on the trail, Schuttenberg had removed his coat, shirt and shoes and was dressed only in blue jeans and socks, the report said. Schuttenberg said, "I don't understand what's going on," several times and had large pupils.

According to the report, Schuttenberg's companion, who was not named, also was acting strangely and became combative with deputies.
